A few years ago I realized I wasn't teaching yoga in the way I truly live my life. I was teaching yoga, but it was based in alignment details & the physical practice. My practice was based in this big ocean of energy based in intuition and the natural world. I was studying the 5 Elements by watching nature and my relation to it.
I designed my Acupressure & Yoga Workshops to be able to share my practice, my way of life, and my art with other people. In the workshops I explain how holding acupressure points, doing yoga movements, and meditation are all connected to the rhythm and time of year in nature. We are a part of nature, not separate from it. In my workshops, I take a nonlinear conceptual idea and offer you different ways to feel it in your body.
In my next workshop: Meridian Yoga for Energy & Power (coming up in March in Sacramento) I will teach about the Bladder, Kidney, Liver and Gallbladder meridians and how to activate them through movements. How can you move like a powerful strong wave in the ocean? How does that movement relate to your back and Kidneys? What does it mean to you to rest in the Winter? What does it mean to you to be strong?
